Born and raised in North Carolina, M.E. started out in 2002 battling classmates and kids from other schools. His competitive nature couldn't be satisfied by defeating local talent or running the streets so he put his focus elsewhere, obtaining a track and field scholarship to Western Carolina University. He linked up with dorm mate Rich, of Killatape, and the rest is history.
